Israel’s security posture in 2025 is adapting to multiple threats: asymmetric warfare (missiles, drones), hybrid conflict, pressure along multiple borders. The IDF continues modernization efforts, expanding local arms production and improving intelligence and counter-terrorism capabilities. At the same time, it faces diplomatic constraints and a necessity to avoid triggering escalation while maintaining deterrence. Internal societal dimensions (e.g. integration of diverse population groups) also factor into readiness.
