Dr. Lerman is deputy director of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS). He was deputy director for foreign policy and international affairs at the National Security Council in the Israeli Prime Minister's Office. He held senior posts in IDF Military Intelligence for over 20 years. He also served for eight years as director of the Israel and Middle East office of the American Jewish Committee. He teaches in the Middle East studies program at Shalem College in Jerusalem, and in post-graduate programs at Tel Aviv University and the National Defense College. He is an expert on Israel’s foreign relations, and on the Middle East. A third-generation Sabra, he holds a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics, and a mid-career MPA from Harvard University.

Senior Researcher. Professor Inbar served at the head of JISS (October 2017-January 2025). He also serves as the Head of the program on Strategy, Diplomacy, and National Security at the Shalem College.

Dr. Oshrit Birvadker is a senior fellow at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security and Israel’s first Indian policy researcher. An expert in India-Israel, India-Gulf, and Indo-Pacific relations, she advises governments on national security and consults for tech companies. She is also CEO and founder of Indivade, which exports Israeli innovation to Asian markets. A prominent commentator, she writes for The Marker and The Print. A member of the Bene Israeli community, she has spent over a decade promoting India-Israel cultural ties and supporting the Indian community in Israel. Dr. Birvadker has received multiple awards for academic excellence and pioneering research.

Capt. (res.) in the IDF Military Intelligence research department. Holds degrees in Middle East and Islamic studies, and Arab language and literature, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Doctoral student in Iranian history at Tel Aviv University.
